We meet you and your dog, watch how they actually behave rather than going off a description, and talk through your goals and your daily routine. You’ll leave with a clear plan and honest expectations about how long the work will take.

Most training happens in your home and neighborhood, because that’s where the behavior is happening. We’re committed to going wherever we need to in order to do the training properly.

We work by appointment. Reach out and we’ll tell you honestly what’s open — we’d rather start you at the right time than squeeze you in and rush the work.

Yes, and it’s the best money you’ll ever spend. Starting a puppy right builds a foundation of obedience and confidence, makes your daily life easier immediately, and prevents the problems that are much harder to fix later.

Early. The socialization window closes sooner than most owners expect, so it’s worth calling as soon as your puppy comes home rather than waiting for problems to show up.

Yes. Aggression, reactivity, and dogs who’ve become bullies are a core part of what we do. We assess what’s actually driving the behavior, then correct and modify it methodically. We don’t give up on dogs.

Yes. We build the dog’s confidence first, then work distractions in slowly and deliberately. Pulling and lunging are among the most common reasons people call us.

We work with fearful and anxious dogs using gradual desensitization and counter-conditioning — going at the dog’s speed rather than forcing behaviors. Dogs with difficult histories often need more patience, and that’s fine.

No. Older dogs learn well. Long-standing habits can take longer to change than a blank-slate puppy, but age itself is not the obstacle people assume.

Call and describe it. We’d rather hear the honest version and tell you whether we can help than have you assume the answer. If a case genuinely needs a veterinary behaviorist or medical workup, we’ll say so.

Your dog stays with us and gets trained three to four times a day, every day. It moves faster than weekly sessions because the repetition is constant and consistent.

For advanced work, yes — dogs need to pass basic obedience first. We’ll tell you where your dog stands after the consultation.

An ethical, well-balanced methodology. That means we use what actually works for the dog in front of us rather than following one rigid philosophy, and we stay current with training methods and techniques rather than doing it the way it was done twenty years ago.

Tool decisions are made per dog, after we’ve seen them, and always explained to you first. Nothing gets used on your dog that you don’t understand and agree to.

We work by appointment. Our phone and email are always open and we return messages as soon as we’re able.

We ask for 24 hours’ notice to reschedule. Sessions missed without notice may count as completed — your appointment time is held for you.

Your dog’s vaccination and basic medical records, and a clear idea of what you want to change. We’ll tell you if any specific equipment is needed after we’ve met your dog.

Some things change in the first session. Others take weeks. Every dog is different and the speed at which they learn varies — we go at your dog’s pace rather than forcing behaviors to hit a deadline.

We don’t guarantee specific outcomes, because any trainer who does is selling you something. What we do is stand behind our training — if we agree more work is needed, we’ll gladly provide additional training. We have a no-refund policy once training begins, and we’re upfront about that before you commit.

Real work. Training the dog is half of it — the other half is you learning to handle your dog differently. We coach you, not just the dog, because you’re the one living with them.
